Welcome to the Mature Social Intrigues of JZ's Sci-Fantasy.
There are many narrative styles others may be comfortable. Most all of us have read stories that held simplistic narrative while others presented greater levels of character involvement. The works of JZ have layers of involvement from the characters and many styles are reflected in his presentation.
The intrigue narrative style is prevalent in Quest for Destiny, and integrated deeply in Tarrarian Plight and Blood Cousins. How the characters interrelate in respect to their agendas shape a good portion of the stories.
Elements of this style is presented throughout the works of JZ and those appreciating an intricate interlacing of such relations will be intrigued.
Tarrarian Plight and Blood Cousins has greater levels of character connections and interaction, forming more intricate back stories and associations to the events unfolding in their lines.
These styles of narrations are not necessarily what you will find in the works of JZ, though the spectrum of the styles does have interpretations amongst the peoples – and some may view the statement differently.
This style lacks emotional bites and is not something presented by JZ as often.
In recent times, this has become more prevalent. Though some scenes can be disturbing and harsh in relation to JZ’s presentation, others do not find it so.
A very common style is to center a small group of characters – even just one – as the center of all things within the narrative story. This is a style JZ avoids, seeing the worth of many persons in the solution of life problems. Since stories should be rooted in the lives of characters, having a number of the characters working towards a solution is not as stingy or selfish.
